I'm replacing a 12 year old APC SurgeArrest Professional. Green light said I'm still protected; However, a cousin lost his home to an obsolete surge protector, the brand of which is unknown. I'm sure what I've been using for 12 years is good and trendy, but I was intimidated and wanted to make sure my computer and its accessories were protected in the best possible way. Despite the green light, I don't know what to do with my 12-year-old surge protector. The new device was recommended by TechHive and other articles I've read. I'm ready to go!
