It worked great and was a lot cheaper than Samsung asked for a branded remote that was basically identical. It weighs a lot less than the original Samsung remote, which seems strange once you're used to it being heavier. I said it makes it cheap, which is true, but I can't guarantee the quality of the remote will be inferior to the original, or make any claim for a durability comparison. Unfortunately, the TV broke shortly after the replacement. Remote control (possibly a defective original remote control was a sign that the entire packaging was expired). I've never tried this feature, so I can't comment on how bright, reliable, etc. it is.
