I've been using a traditional lightbox to teach 2D animation in production for the past eight years. My old fluorescent lightbox is gathering dust for a number of reasons: it's thin, no higher than 2-4 inches from the table surface, the light intensity varies (my lightbox was always too bright), and the method of attaching single or multiple elements is better than the old-fashioned one Method of attachment to poles.
