Purchased to replace the handlebars on an old mountain bike. I wanted two things. More comfortable upright riding position and multiple hand positions. This handlebar is similar to the old regular road bike handlebar. It has a smooth, smooth arc from mid-to-straightening, and the bar ends change angle slightly. It's a bit wider than some. Also sweeps a little further than some. Almost perfect for my needs. The flat ends are long enough that there was enough room to shift/brake the mountain bike. Anyway I could probably saw off 1.5-2 inches from each end and leave enough room for my needs. I sealed the bars with tape instead of using handles. I can almost sit up and hold on to it in the normal extreme position for a barbell like this. I can lean forward a bit while holding onto the bar at the end of the center arch. This middle position is not too far from the ridge outrigger rudder. Or I can lean more forward and keep it comfortably centered, which is good in a headwind. Gives me three good, useful, and comfortable hand positions. The bar is not too heavy, but strong enough and well made.
