Works on CM1415FNW printer

Googled how to get into the setup menu, after spinning the roller, unplugged the power cord, turned the printer back [holding the scanner] (the toner is still in) and used two small screwdrivers to gently pry the left and right side (top) of the roller, it came out easily. Then put a new one in, make sure it clicks, and rotate the printer back to its normal rest position. Connected and test pages worked fine.
