More promises, fewer results - no video is recorded, app doesn't recognize when the drone is connected

After a lifetime of dealing with technology, I expect technology that promises more than it delivers . So far, our Tello drone has met these expectations. For reference, I connected to the drone using a Google Pixel 3XL running the latest version of Android 10. Also, the firmware of the Tello drone has been updated to the latest version and calibrated. 1) It will not record video. . It takes photos well, but it doesn't record videos, although the app says it's recording a video. I have verified that all permissions requested by the app have been granted. 2) On launch, the Tello app doesn't recognize that the Tello drone is connected via WiFi unless I tell Android to forget the Tello drone's WiFi connection and then reconnect every time. Drone and/or app launch time. This becomes very annoying even with a simple battery change. The main reason I gave this drone two stars for beginners is that it takes quite a bit of trial, error, and problem-solving skills to connect the app to the drone and keep it running. to keep working. 4) The widely acclaimed "Follow me" feature requires a second app that requires a registration fee. I'm sure these additional costs are hidden somewhere in the fine print, but the adverts were misleading in that regard. The Follow Me app is buggy and keeps losing the target it is supposed to follow. We tried it both indoors and outdoors, and the drone failed to track the target even when it was standing still or moving slowly. 5) The drone can overheat quickly. While trying to figure out how to connect the app to the drone, the drones would often overheat and shut down, usually only when I connected the app, which meant I had to wait for the drone to cool down and they mine Try started and error process to figure out how to connect again and again. shouldn't be that annoying. Connecting to the drone should be as simple as toggling the drone's Wi-Fi connection and launching the app. There shouldn't be a settings game that makes the phone forget about the drone's Wi-Fi before it recovers. There should also be a way to manually set the WiFi channel used by the drone so that it can be placed on a channel that doesn't conflict with existing WiFi networks. We've constantly encountered network conflicts when trying to fly a drone in our backyard to have our nearby Wi-Fi networks block channels.
