Review on 📀 Samsung DVD-V8500 DVD VCR Combo Player by James Holker

The additional memory card reader is good but too slow to be very useful. Reading a 3.1 megabit image takes a full 5 seconds, so slideshows are a bit slow. DVD works fine, VHS too. Been using it for 3 months, no problems so far. The only stumbling block is that the pause on VHS stutters slightly on tapes recorded on it, but is half distorted on tapes from another (cheaper) player. The DVD is crystal clear and all functions are good. The remote control is fairly intuitive, with the exception of fast-forwarding the DVD, which switches to search mode for the next scene if you release too quickly. It's nice that the TV functions are built in, so you can adjust the volume even in DVD or VHS mode.
