So it was perfect. I needed space for my DVR/cable box. I didn't have enough space in my closet. It fit perfectly. It was a little flatter than my box but still left plenty of flat space. It stuck out about 3 inches above the front edge. For my own peace of mind, I used the strong velcro on the bottom of the cable box to attach it to the platform. Then it was really solid. I also used sticks attached to the wire sockets on the back of the TV to pull the wires through to relieve the dangling wires. Works perfectly.
