I gave my bathtub a makeover

I almost didn't buy it because a review mentioned seeing a YouTube video of a person using BarKeeper's Friend to remove scratches, but the product didn't do the same for them. I'm pretty sure this is the same video I saw. However, I decided to give it a try anyway and oh my god! That was the first time I ever regretted not taking a before photo because wow. Was downgraded based on another review I read and thought maybe Bartender's would upgrade my tub a bit. Instead, I immediately started seeing changes, so I reapplied and reapplied and kept cleaning until there were stains (imprints from the bathroom mat that was here when I moved into my apartment 20 years ago, and for everything he didn't lighten up at all this time) disappeared. It also fixed some of the new scratches I got from washing something in a tub with a metal hook on the bottom. to make sure none of this powerful product is left in the tub when I take a bath. The product seemed to micro sand and first the area I had brushed out lost its glossy shine. In reality, however, it may have been just a remnant. I poured enough water to cover the bottom of the tub, then poured in some hair conditioner and just ran my hands through the tub, feeling a bit of sand and wiping it away with my hands. In the end the polish looked amazing and I was really surprised and amazed at how nice my bathtub looked. Now it looks like new. I tried it on traces in my friend's bathroom but the effect is not the same. The stains in his tub look like rust spots or tiny cracks. Also a little tip - wear gloves when using. I didn't and the skin on my arms was so flaky it looked like scales when I moved my arms but it only lasted 2 days after which my arms went back to normal. (So personally this was just a major annoyance and should be considered for future use. I like to feel what I'm working on so will not use gloves in the future although I know the effects. Also, super smooth hands after molting :)
