Great beard trimmer

I've been looking for a face/beard trimmer that I really like, is easy to use and doesn't damage my face without a guard. For the past 7 years I have been using a Gillette trimmer that comes with a detachable shaving head. This worked well for many years, although not without problems. However, I don't think it should ever last as long or be used the way I used it and eventually it became weak and boring. Also, now that I'm growing and grooming my goatee, I need something that will make more precise edges and provide protection so I can keep it the same length. One day at my parents house I started using a rechargeable trimmer they had and it died halfway through. that I'm panicking! I remember my mom (who used to be a beautician and still occasionally cut her hair for the family) had a peanut trimmer. I managed to find it and it was wonderful! I knew right away that I had to have one. It's perfect for precise edging and safe enough to be used without protection to shade the rest of your face for up to 5 hours. It is also very manoeuvrable with a cable. It also doesn't make any "noise" like cheap trimmers usually do. Another reason I knew I had to have it was because of its quality and durability. The one I used, which belonged to my mother, was at least 10 years old if not 15 or older and it still worked perfectly. The guards are of good quality and the 1/8" pitch suits me, although I see some would prefer the 1/16" pitch. I don't see the cable as a disadvantage at all. Cable than constantly worrying about charging the trimmer or worrying it will die halfway to the trimmer.
