Review on IOgrapher'S USA-Made Smartphone Video Rig For IPhone 6-8 & SE With Tripod Mount, Stabilizer Grip, And Lens Adapter - Black by Matt Bokil

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Disappointed, but I'll probably keep it.

I'll probably keep this, but it will need some "finessing." The phone actually "rattles" when installed. My iPhone 6 has no case or obstructions; when I insert it into the iOgrapher as instructed, there is "play" in how it seats. There's a tiny amount of extra space. SO: when you rotate the iOgrapher forward or backward while in use, the phone "clicks and clacks" as the angle changes, affecting the audio. I like this enough to want to keep it anyway, and will probable install a piece of adhesive foam to ensure a better fit for the phone when it's snapped in place. I understand this is a molded product; I really can't believe this defect exists, since improved video quality is the whole point of product's existence.

Pros
  • Cell Phones & Accessories
Cons
  • The rig is expensive compared to similar products on the market, making it an unappealing choice for budget-conscious filmmakers
