While not the brightest light panels I've seen, they definitely dim the light. They are inexpensive and very unique. The included remote works very well, with a range of around 30 feet, which is more than enough to control from the driver's seat to the front or back of a full-size car. I taped my remote to the steering wheel with double-sided tape so I can turn on the high and high beams at the same time while driving. DO NOT USE THIS DIRECTLY TO OTHER DRIVERS! It's also worth noting that when used correctly (like high beam) you shouldn't have any problems, but it's technically illegal to use headlights on the road. Halos are allowed if they are static yellow or white. Blue or any other moving color will help you get a ticket fast! I wish this included a switch wire to turn on bright lights with a separate switch (or with high beam). If you run multiple devices like me (pods + light bar) note that they all run on the same channel. This means that one remote control controls all devices. While doing this I experienced a bit of lag and possible interference (the pods turned off but the light bar stayed on for a few more seconds), so I decided to hook them up to the same control box. I recommend doing this. Very easy to make, just 3 wires. Positive, negative and white control wire switching all functions. Plus and minus must remain separate from the battery, but the control cable can be connected from either the pods or the lightbar to a single control box so they are all the same and switch at the same time. As for reliability. I've been wearing them for 4 months now. Through constant rain/snow, salt on the streets and freezing temperatures. The pads held up perfectly. The bar, on the other hand, has been flickering every time it gets wet since day one. Revain Cross sent a new one (shipped me a new one for free even before I sent the old one in (I'll be charged if I keep the old one too long after that)), it worked fine for a good month before the control wore out. Function. I connected the control cable to the pod controller and it has been working fine for several months now. They appear to be well made so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt these were 2 unlikely accidents and still give 5 stars as I could refund the second bar if I wanted to.
