Review on 🎧 X-1 SG-MN1-BK Surge Mini: Ultimate Waterproof In-Ear Sport Headphones by H2O Audio by Jen Coleman

Wow underwater!

I got the Waterfi iPod kit that came with the Flex in-ear sports headphones but on a visit to my mum's, her puppy destroyed them. I decided to upgrade and chose them. I can't say enough good things about them! They are absolutely worth the money compared to the Flex in-ear model, which is really good, only noticeably better. 1) You get a better fit/fit as they come with 5 ear tip sizes instead of 3. This means you have a better seal and are less likely to fall out while swimming. (I haven't had any issues) 2) The sizing feels better in the ears and the earbud is smaller which means it comes out of the ear less and goes into the swim cap less which in turn results in a better fit. I had to fiddle around with the Flex model a bit with no problems. I also have a tragus piercing in one ear that the flex has been hitting/rubbing against which they don't. I can almost forget they're almost in my ears. 3) This model (for some reason, sizing/fit maybe?) has no sinking/sinking issues when starting a circle when you are a few feet lower than when you actually swim. With the bulge, it almost felt like the water was trying to get in a bit. 4) The sound quality is excellent! Waterproof or not, they can pass their test and have a nice bass response! Because they offer a better fit and have better components/construction than the Flex, they sound significantly better. I'm still impressed with the ability to have underwater headphones/listen to music while swimming and I thought the Flex sounded fine, but when comparing the two there is a significant difference. This is a huge step up from the waterproof FM radios and headphones you could get in the 90's. To sum up, if you're looking for waterproof headphones and not just for lap swimming, these are the ones you need. They are well made, fantastic fit/seal, great sound; worth the extra money compared to other X-1 models.
