When I have the right mop (I ordered 2) it has a plastic part that is heavy enough for the mop to snap onto the handle. It doesn't break like I've read other mops do. Mine is red and has two types of materials attached to it for cleaning. One possibility is a very flat material onto which the mop is clamped and held. To clean the walls, I used a stretchable terry towel that absorbs moisture well. This was necessary because I have high ceilings with exposed beams and cleared everything of smoke after being near a wildfire in California that basically left a smoke smell in my house. No one wanted to climb the stairs to clean the high ceiling - the mop only worked with a three-tiered stool.
