A friend and colleague recommended that we can clone hard drives on the fly in case we need it and don't have a physical disk cloner handy. Since then, I've used this ingenious device to quickly transfer data from another internal hard drive (laptop drive), clone hard drives, and even install operating systems for other people using my laptop. The only doubt I have is that due to Dell's brilliant idea of having an Esata port on the back of a laptop and not having a USB port for power next to it, you're going to have to stretch that bad boy to basically do this to do the cable fits, making it much more likely to break on you (like the previous one); hence the docked stars for durability. Otherwise, this is a MUST HAVE for anyone dealing with other people's drives or if you just want to connect another 2.5" laptop drive and transfer data or just use it as an external device.
