Well! But do the math

BENEFITS: A) Easy to read B) Quick to read C) Identifies a wide variety of parts you may or may not know. Including LEDs (it lights up) and more. That explains everything. Its functions are already well documented. A must-have for a desktop computer at this price. CONS: (CAPACATORS) A): No direct reading for lower microfarad capacitors, at least 3mF and below. Irritation. That said, you'd better know that reading 1103nf means you have a 1.1uF upper limit. 99.7nf means you have a .1uf ceiling. Not sure if your meter is 0.047uF or 0.0047uF? What should he read? Quickly! Good luck, keep working. The machine doesn't do that for you. Mathematical brains will scoff. They love decoding things while keeping their brains sharp. I get that, but I like it when a tool acts like a tool and does the work for me. It already does so much that it would be difficult to program any kind of transformation. I hope they do so in the future. The Atlas tester gives such a direct reading and accurate ESR, but it is only a capacitor tester and only up to 1uF. There is no perfect all-in-one device (yet). B) Capacitor ESR hit or miss; unreliable and documented in many online video reviews. Again, I recommend Peak Atlas. C) cannot read low pF capacitors. I had "unknown details" to identify him, but he gave no evidence. Were they dead? Later I checked that on a special capacitor tester. These were 20 pF capacitors. with such devices, and many of them are unlabelled. SUMMARY: I recommend it, it does a lot. Definitely worth the low cost for everything it does. For capacitors, however, there is an additional tester if you need ESR digit precision or don't have to constantly deal with thousandths of a decimal conversion. WISHLIST: have built-in direct math conversion up to 0.001uF for capacitance, read up to 10pF, improve ESR accuracy.

Pros
  • Capacitance & Resistance Meters
Cons
  • Long Lead Time
