I've never tried mascara and am happy with this mascara. I have very thin and light lashes and this mascara really revitalizes them. It doesn't bleed like some other mascaras I've tried - usually the cheaper drugstore ones. However, it needs to dry a little before applying to the lower lashes, otherwise it will get onto the upper eyelid. .The brush has a good thickness and the tube feels good in the hand. The only small issue I have is that it's waterproof, but that's not really true. It's pretty close, but if it gets wet enough it will leak, but not as much as the others. And while it's not 100% waterproof, it holds up well, so I don't think it's worth taking the star off. Therefore. If you're not in a humid environment all the time, you should be fine. Easy to remove with a good mascara remover and lasts all day. Overall a pretty good mascara that works well for me. At $4 a tube, that's a lot too.
