All Around Fantastic

Of the two talking toys our daughter got for Christmas, this is her favorite. I like that he has a child's voice and not an adult who speaks shyly. It has several different modes. The little yellow button toggles between piano, guitar, solmisation (C-re-mi), trumpet and maybe one more. I forgot. On the right is a "switch" that she's slightly modified, although she obviously doesn't see the difference. He alternates between glockenspiel, xylophone, animals and flowers. As one of the video reviews pointed out, some of the words may accidentally sound "dirty", but this is a kid's toy. Almost the first time I've heard of it being done. In this case, "four" sounds like "whore" and "horse" like "whores". The "bye" he says when he hasn't interacted with him for a while sounds oddly like "Tie Tie," but since that's the nickname we use for her, it usually just draws her attention back to him. On top of all of the above, there are five other additional modes including one where you hit the glowing reels. Our almost 8 month old daughter is still too young to understand this, but she loves banging/chewing plates and looking at the flashing lights. And did I mention it also has detachable legs for both lying and seated play? Because it is. Not to mention drumsticks that can be stored at the bottom of the unit so they don't get lost. Overall this item was amazing, especially considering the price paid. It's one of her favorite toys, so much so that the more expensive Fisher Price interactive toy her grandparents gave her gets almost no attention!
