The pen itself is fantastic. It's durable, minimalist and very beautiful. At first I wasn't aware that it was the same handle on both sides, because I confused the picture with a narrow, rectangular handle on the outside. I was worried it wouldn't fit my screen, but it fits perfectly and is easier to use with the loop handle on the outside. There were instructions on the packaging, but I didn't see them. There's not really much to do other than make sure your screws are in there from the inside. I would also recommend tightening the screws that attach the handles to the metal base prior to installation to ensure they are secure. My assessment is on the screws themselves. We have a 1.5" thick side door that looks like standard thickness, but the screws were too long. All the way to the right position the grip left loose and rattling. The bolts on the old grip weren't the right thread, so I had to trim the new bolts several times until they held the grip in place. You can see in the photo how far I had to trim it (in short it's the final length when held tight). If your door is 1.5 inches thick, be careful as you may need to cut the screws shorter.
