My baby started playing with this when he was 7 months old. He's a year old and still a winner. It is very strong and well made. The balls sit in a plastic/rubber spacer that provides the necessary resistance. He also plays with balls alone, popping them, rolling them and even carrying them around. They practically do not wear out, despite friction on concrete. They are big and really entertained him a lot! also used elsewhere. For example, he puts small items in as a rough sorter and figures out how to reach things that don't roll out. It has lasting play value. Simply good! I would definitely buy this again.
