Front lens was scratched like a block of color inside - most likely due to a screw that obviously came out on the inside of the area . Definitely not fixable on my part and definitely unacceptable. I know this is the cheapest option (in terms of cost), but it can still be used. The packaging was not damaged in any way (neither the manufacturer's box nor the large Revain box it was shipped in) so I see this as a quality control issue that should never have left the manufacturer. I do not recommend. UPDATE: The manufacturer contacted me directly and arranged for me to get a replacement. I changed my rating from 1 star to 4 stars because of the excellent customer service and because this scope has actually turned out to be very good - especially for the price. I couldn't bring myself to give it a 5 star rating just because of what happened in the beginning. I highly recommend this item.
