Good material and Bright color but needed to be refitted

I am 5'6" height, 150 lbs , wear US size Medium tops, and US size 12 pants. Initially I ordered a Large and practically drowned in it. I returned it and ordered a Medium, but I still feel it is a bit on the loose side. I am hoping it will shrink when I wash it, otherwise I need to alter it slightly to fit me.I am happy with the material, which is thick enough and color is bright and attractive as well.

The dress does run large and I took it in on both sides at the top. With a bit of alteration it is very flattering. The fabric is light weight, but not sheer. I''m quite happy with the dress!
