After my first canister vacuum was a terrible vacuum, I reverted to a bag vacuum. It seemed to get clogged with hair every time I used it and I had to constantly flush the filters. I took a chance and bought this vacuum cleaner. It's built differently than the old model and can hold more hair than I thought it would without losing suction. Although I have to clean it fairly often, I can at least see enough inside the clean container to know when to do it. Emptying is EASY, and while I have to disassemble the canister after a few uses to shake off accumulated dust, I don't wash the filters that often (I currently do this after 6 uses - and the filter doesn't really clean). what is dirty. On the other hand, the weight of the vacuum cleaner is somehow listed as over 23 pounds. I believe this is an error and is the "shipping" weight (with box and packaging).
