Honestly, forget the bobby pins. THIS IS RIGHT HERE super easy, cheap and gives you the tightest, bounciest WOW curls. I will say my only complaint is the threading and how quickly they dissipate. I hate when that happens, but I usually sew them back together quickly. Knowing how tightly I twist my hair around it, I'm not surprised it gets tangled so quickly. Since then I'm still figuring out how to style such tight curls. I sleep with it on (btw these bolsters are a lot more comfortable than regular bolsters). I often have to comb my hair for a while to give the curls the shape I want. My hair is slippery and thin and I don't do well with heated curls if hold is what you want after these curlers. I literally had to put on a ponytail because I looked a bit like a poodle the first time I used it. After my hair loosened up a bit, I got a gorgeous curl that I've never been able to achieve with a curling iron. Plus, it lasted all day and even the next day! Love this, my new favorite hair product for waves and curls.
