It's a BIG air filter but it has some limitations

This unit is big, over my waist. It is quite quiet, the sound only becomes somewhat destructive at maximum speed. It appears to be powerful due to the size and the number of fans (6) it has inside, but it's hard to say conclusively how powerful it is, and don't see it anywhere in the literature or videos provided by the shark i The specific size of the room should be a guess for the buyer. The remote control works very well and the filter is very easy to use. The literature says that the inside behind the filter should be cleaned every two months with a vacuum cleaner and possibly a cloth, but without detergent. My filter is rated for 4400 hours of use according to the digital readout and the unit seems to be tracking it. I didn't see the filters available for this, maybe they haven't been approved yet because they weren't found in the search. I think instead of telling you all about the operation of this device (which is really simple and easy for you to watch the video provided by the shark), I will tell you what this device is missing, what makes it smaller, what could be in this price range and under this amazing SHARK brand. I personally tend to love their innovative products.1. This air purifier is not intelligent. You can't connect it to apps or WiFi. You cannot see graphs or statistics when you are not at home. That seems absolute nonsense. Many very good filters for less than half that price have very good application functionality. There's no parental control mode, yes, you can't lock the screen so your kid or your cousin's kid can do as much with the settings as he or she wants. Switch on and off again and again. Yes it's annoying, I don't know why they don't have a parental control mode. The particulate filter stats are pretty cool, you switch between the gauges to see the amount of PM1 (tiny viruses or allergens), PM2.5 smoke and bacteria, and PM 10 (like dust, mold and bacteria) - but that too it would be better to see these statistics in the application, not only in real time, but also in some kind of chart. Overall I think this is a very good air filter, but it's also expensive and lacks some of the really generic features that other much cheaper units have.

Pros
  • even an oldie can understand
Cons
  • some little things
