Cute dog guards in cat doors, railings and steps

We have two rescue poodles, ten and fourteen pounds. 2 and 3 years. We use gates to ensure they don't leave my office unattended and to restrict access to the living room. These gates are adjustable and work well for either configuration. This is the second dog guard we have bought. The first was bought by Martha Stewart at Petsmart. This gate looked good but proved to be unstable and poorly constructed, falling apart completely after about 8 months. I just received this gate but it is obviously more durable as it uses tenon and mortise hardwood technology instead of a slight hinge between the panels. The door width is adjusted by sliding rather than folding the panels. At 22 inches, the height seems a bit shorter than we expected. At 10 pounds our youngest is an energetic and athletic jumper and can jump over gates when excited. But usually these gates are high enough for my dogs. However, when choosing the height of the gate, consider your dog's breed, size, and temperament. expensive
