They won't hurt anything, but they're not as easy to work with and not as pretty as I was hoping. First, they were a bit long for my Asetek cooler. I had to cut them off or else they would collect somewhere on the hose and look awful. Then I had to light the cut end or it would disintegrate. The clips were very difficult to work with and I chose the right ribbon so I no longer had to fiddle with it. The last thing I wanted to do was loosen a hose fitting while fumbling with a cheap aesthetic mod. When finally installed. damn cheap stuff shows some threads are lost. To be honest I'm probably the only one looking closely enough to notice, but I was expecting more. Perhaps length confusion contributed to the loose threads, but the incorrect length and lack of a reliable way to deal with it is still an issue with the product.
