Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Topeak The Mini 9-Function Bike Tool - TT2409 Black/Silver, 6.6 x 3.1 x 2cm by John Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Easy rotation by pivoting movement in hard-to-reach places. High quality material, super compact and well thought out design.

I am a novice driver with a 2015 Diamondback Edgewood Hybrid. My bike was built for free at a sporting goods store so I really can't complain that some of the specs aren't correct. In particular, the derailleur slid over the crank cover in 3rd gear so I had to make a simple adjustment. I originally bought a set of cheap hex keys so I could pick the exact sizes I needed for my keychain. I found trying to use a regular Allen wrench was very impractical on bikes. There would be many bottlenecks where I would have to constantly remove and reinsert the key to keep spinning. Not only is this Topeak mini 9-function bike tool just the right size, it has a much-needed pivot point that makes turning in tight spaces that much easier. With a regular Allen key, in many cases you can only turn the bolt halfway before it hits the bike frame, then you have to remove it and reinsert it into its original position to loosen/tighten it further. With the Topeak tool, you'll never have to paste again. Simply rotate 180 degrees when you can't rotate anymore, then keep rotating and repeat the process. Or just use it as a straight tool like a screwdriver. Great little investment and comes with a nylon holster with velcro and belt clip (I attach it to the velcro on my bike bag). I would consider it more versatile than a bike tool. Ironically, I still needed a separate allen wrench to loosen the tool loops to use the allen wrenches!
