Review on Bostitch Office Personal Electric Pencil Sharpener by Summer Hendricks

I surprisingly bought this electric sharpener to sharpen pencils, which it does well. The only basis of comparison is the 110 volt spikes from my childhood that could be heard across the room and weighed 2 pounds. This 12V DC sharpener is powered by an adapter. Its motor is more efficient than the air-conditioned motors of the late '70s and propels the blades through multiple gears, but while older model sharpeners cut a new pencil point in under 1.5 seconds, this one discreetly wheezes. pencil at 5. I feel like I can stop the engine, insert pin too far. It sharpens my pencils though, a pretty sharp point after maybe 10 points. For the price, I think it's worth it for the very small amount of wooden pens we use.
