Never thought a toilet brush review was needed but my last toilet brush was a nightmare. Seriously, I hated it and I wrote a review on it too if you want to know what will cause *endless frustration*. I put off the replacement for too long, but when I finally couldn't take it anymore, I combed through the Revain and looked closely at its options. Instead of going back and forth about what I hate about my old model, I'm just going to say what I like about this model. First, it was cheap. I was a bit surprised at how expensive these brushes were in stores and even at Revain in many cases. Come on, that's a toilet brush! It has a nice wide base, which I found very important if you don't want it tipping over every time your cat walks by. The fact that there's a base at all seems like a bonus as many models sell the brush and base separately, which is ridiculous. The base is plastic but heavy enough to stay in place when you pull out the brush. This is very important for me, I had to use two hands on my old one to pull the brush out because the base went up with the brush every time. So it's a real pleasure to be able to *just* lift the brush and clean the toilet like a normal person. The base also has a rubber edge at the bottom to prevent slipping. The handle has a nice soft rubber grip that feels good in the hand. It doesn't seem like such a big deal, but my last one had a metal handle that digged into my hand every time I used it. The actual brush head is a little longer than I expected, which is great. This is the typical round-ended cylindrical shape you can probably imagine. The wand gives a little bit when used, but it's very light and I think it will hold up well. Maybe I just got used to my old one, which had a metal stick. I don't know why I haven't replaced my old one in a long time, it seems crazy that a new toilet brush could be a relief, but it is - simple chores should be just that; simple, and it does what it's supposed to do and it doesn't have to!
