When my wife and I were looking for a kettle two years ago we had trouble finding anything at all so we settled on something of poor quality. When it predictably expired, we started searching again and were intrigued by the aesthetics. For those interested in industrial design, this is a very fun kettle in terms of its beautiful shape, wood accents in all the places you want them (and they're very well designed in their own right) and the way as he balances his hand. It's not too heavy so you don't spend a lot of time heating the kettle instead of the water in it. And we love the fact that it's a whistling kettle. The lid fits snugly so you don't have to worry about it falling off while pouring. Generally perfect. I can't say anything about the durability yet, but it seems to be well made.
