Review on πŸ”³ Lutron Claro 3 Gang Decorator Wallplate, CW-3-WH: Sleek and Screwless Design in White by James Pfettscher

Conforms well to uneven walls

I really like Claro's screwless wall plates. As with all paddle shifters, make sure the switch body is parallel to the wall and that wire pressure is not causing the switch body to tilt left or right. After aligning and loosening the switches parallel to the wall, attach the baseplate and then adjust the baseplate to the wall by tightening or loosening the screws that secure the switches in the backbox. Once the base plate is snug against the wall, the panel snaps into place. The interesting thing is that there are latches between the switches. So if the wall plate has some concave curves, the escutcheon will still fit all edges of the wall and the switch body will be properly exposed. To get back to the build box, just pull the lid from any direction and you don't have to worry about breaking anything when you remove the lid. Thank you to Lutron designers and their plastic suppliers. The only problem that could arise. They have a distinctive notch between the rosette and the baseplate which is unique to this design and the edge of the rosette does not go into the wall like other designs.
