Do you know products that innovate and solve annoying problems that you thought were inevitable? This little infuser is one such invention. It's also beautiful, although it has a practical purpose. The materials it is made of are of high quality and I have not had any problems with chipped "teapot" enamel. It appears to be stainless steel and as advertised. The mesh keeps debris from seeping into my teacup unlike some other types of brewers I've had while fully dispersing the aroma throughout the water. It's not that difficult to clean, and the nifty part is the weighted suspension that allows you to easily remove the unit when you're done seeping. One of the disadvantages is that the pendant is delicate and the device needs to be hand washed. ADVANTAGES: easy to use, excellent quality materials as advertised, "teapot" charm is attractive, absorbs aroma thoroughly in water, no tea residue flying out of the device/net cleans well. pretty basic CONS: Teapot pendant is delicate and needs to be hand washed
