Received 2 packs a few days ago; I can't say anything about the battery life as I will only be using the light to briefly illuminate the subject. The build quality is excellent; others have said that the on/off button sticks to the surface, but I've tried to glue it several times and it won't go below the surface - always worked smoothly; In addition, the blinking mode and the Morris code SOS mode worked without any problems. yes, with full concentration at a distance, the beam becomes a bright square, but still illuminates the subject well. The instructions state that you can use the rechargeable 18650 battery and supplied lugs instead of the supplied triple-A batteries and holder - a nice touch; 18650 batteries and chargers abound at Revain.
