Absolutely fantastic for a portable air conditioner. Cut a round piece and stick it in the intake pipe - the difference between day and night. The air is phenomenally cleaner and smells cleaner. I can't believe I went so long without it. And with that in mind, I can't believe that portable air conditioners are being sold without an outdoor air filter. Amazing difference. One more note. I compared this to a charcoal filter that does the same thing. With this filter, the air smells fresher and cleaner than with an activated carbon filter. I decided to double it and use both, although it's even better you have to increase the fan speed of your portable air conditioner and this limits consumption much more with two filters.
