The magnet is very strong. This is good for not losing your grip on thick glass, and bad for the risk of pinching your fingers, be careful. It cleans well, but I just wipe the inner glass with a regular sponge when changing the water. It's also possible to scratch the glass if you have a sandy back and a few grains get caught between the glass cleaning pad. I probably wouldn't buy again.
