Overall this is a well designed and functional surge protector. It meets all the technical standards you need to connect your valuable electronics and the spacing between the sockets is well thought out, allowing you to use 4 larger adapter sockets and 8 more standard plugs. It also comes with a long cord which can be really useful for stretching the device in places that are a bit away from an outlet. The only thing I really don't like about the design is the large bright indicators on one side letting you know the device is protected. from surges and properly grounded. While this is great information, the lights are huge and very bright! If it's under a desk in an office, that's no problem, but if it's used in a bedroom or living room where you might want to sit in the dark and watch a movie, this feature is a deal breaker. It lights up the whole room! So with that caveat in mind I can recommend this surge protector for office use or if you are looking for a good combination of surge protector and night light. The price is good and the features are as they should be. I only wish I could turn off that monstrous green light!
