I needed a scanner with diagnostic capabilities to help troubleshoot my family's fleet. I already have a relatively high quality OBD scan tool but it only reads transmission related codes and provides real time data for my Subaru. Not much more for my Ford F250. DS808 queries all vehicle subsystems and provides more specific troubleshooting for my Subaru and a 2000 Ford F250. It automatically reads the VIN so it knows the exact configuration for diagnostics. The guides are good for orientation and getting started, but after that they're pretty intuitive. The manual is detailed and easy to understand, so it will be a great reference when I want to use more tools. Many of its data management features make it ideal for a professional business. The overall quality of the device is excellent and gives the impression of a quality instrument. The pre-sales support was important for me to understand what the device can and cannot do for my specific vehicles (by VIN). Response time for all my questions was within 24 hours, usually just a few hours. The answers were detailed enough to give me confidence that they were correct. No complaints, but the only downside to this tool is that it told me more than I wanted to know! My repair to-do list just got longer.
