DO NOT BUY WATERCOLORS!

I bought this paper for my watercolors because I really liked the size and the fact that it has a spiral shape and a perforated side. That and the reviews for his watercolor performance seemed really positive. Oh how I deeply regret my decision! First of all, I had to make sure that the product information is under the material in the description, it only says "paper". Nowhere does it say what the paper is made of. I must have thought that the fact that it was acid free was enough. I may be new to watercolor painting, but now I know that anything other than 100% cotton can make a HUGE difference, which it clearly doesn't. I have tried paper with both a set of colors on the palette and colors from tubes. both had the same problems. First, they dried VERY quickly, making proper blending and layering almost impossible. This, and even after rewetting to get no more than a second or third layer to try and mix them up, the paper fibers began to wear out. Second, as you can see from the photo here, the paint didn't even run or dry evenly. I don't blame the colors because they work great on my other paper. I HATE wasting money, but at least I've learned to never buy mixed media paper again just to save a buck.
