I needed an IR remote to control the volume on my Sonos Playbar. My new TV has an RF remote which is cool but doesn't control the Sonos volume. This remote works perfectly - the volume up, down and mute controls work as expected after learning the codes from my old TV's IR remote. Update about a year later - the buttons are less reliable, but it looks like they could just get a little dirty. I opened the case with a butter knife and gently rubbed the plastic/rubber underside of the buttons. Now the remote feels just as responsive as when it was new. There are no screws in the case and there are only about 4 pieces in total so it's not hard to see how they fit together.
