There was a "shock brand” digital air pump; didn't turn off automatically after two years, so I had to take out the battery after each use as it ran out quickly. The digital pump had a larger bore (more volume per pump) and it was really hard to get past 220 pounds. This pump is so easy to pump up to 250 lbs. (anything higher I had to get up) and with the ergonomic pump handle (you use your crotch between your thumb and forefinger) it's a pleasure to use. The numbers on the gauge were easy to read too (I was worried I wouldn't get an accurate reading, but that's not a problem). I will recommend it to all my friends on MTBike.
