Poor Quality: Bath & Shower Bypass Valves

Well because the leak was very small a large one leaked on its own. The only leak on my project is the union nut on this assembly. Definitely stay away from it. Finally got him back. I bought another one without the union nut and everything is fine. After receiving another one, I found that the threads are a bit short in this device. Stay away from it again. I'll probably keep this valve, but I'm not sure just because I don't want to mess around with fitting another one again. I have a small leak at the outlet of my shower head (1 drop every 15 seconds) and I won't even bother with it. The thread is short, period. The union nut needs a rubber washer or it will leak no matter what you do. A good thread does not need washers. Washing machines are intended for poorly finished products or products that are easy to remove or need to be removed more frequently. The problem with the washer is that if you keep tightening it, it will collapse and block flow, just like any washer. Just unnecessary pain. This valve is meant to be used as something you don't need to adjust and you can tighten it hard but you can't do that with this valve. You must be qualified to install this valve. I have no problems, but not everyone is like me or others. Attention, it is not easy to install it correctly. Also mention that this shaft contains plastic or ceramic parts. So every time you change your valve you are moving plastic or ceramic as you can see in my drawing.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Damaged
