Review on πŸ’» Philips 272E1GSJ 1080p Frameless LED Monitor with Adaptive Sync and 144Hz Refresh Rate - Suitable for Gaming and High-End Computing Needs by Brent Miles

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best monitor I've ever had.

...and I've been buying them for over 30 years ;) So far I've found my former BenQ EW-3270U monitor to be the best I've owned. This Philips monitor is just amazing. I use it as a monitor, not as a TV. I've had this monitor for less than a week, but so far it's near perfect. No dead pixels, no artifacts and colors - in both SDR and HDR modes (the monitor has three HDR modes including VESA certification for DisplayHDR 1000) - are truly amazing! You have to see them to appreciate it. The pixel pitch is 0.245, which is small enough to make individual screen pixels invisible. The monitor comes with a handheld remote control that allows me to use the full functionality of the monitor - without having to touch the monitor's joystick to operate the OSD! Fantastic. The monitor is delivered pre-calibrated from the factory, at least with a calibration certificate. It's also the first monitor I've recently owned that doesn't require manual assembly of the monitor stand for desktop use - it comes fully assembled from the factory, including the stand. (By the way, this stand is just as jet black as the monitor body itself - previous versions had a raw metal stand - as seen in photos and early reviews. I prefer a matching stand.) Backed by a 4-year advance delivery guarantee. from Philips are included in the price - you have a problem, you call them, they send you a replacement and then they send the old monitor back to them. It doesn't get much better. Fingers crossed - if I suddenly have problems with the monitor, I will definitely come here to correct the review. Considering I paid just $50-$100 more for this monitor than BenQ charged for the EW-3270U when it first went on sale (it's half that now), it's tough to say how much better this monitor is!
