Review on GTO609C Two Way Audio Component System by Colton Scheehl

I first installed these component speakers as a factory replacement. These JBL 609c for the front doors were connected to JBL 629 coaxial loudspeakers for the rear doors. I was happy with my purchase. They were better than standard, but unfortunately not by much. I recently installed an aftermarket head unit so I can amplify these JBL speakers with a matching 60W RMS JBL x4 amplifier. I made the head unit first and was so impressed with how much better they sounded after replacing the stock head unit. The tweeters are so loud and clear. I can't imagine them being louder with an amp. And the woofers aren't bad for 6.5-inch speakers. I even considered scrapping the whole amp idea but I really want to know how much better they sound. All in all, these speakers are a good buy. You can install them as direct replacements for factory speakers and be happy, or take them a few steps further and be amazed.
