Description of GTO609C Two Way Audio Component System

Carbon-injected Plus One cones are larger than others in their size class, meaning they move more air and make more bass. Soft-dome tweeters feature oversized voice coils for greater heat dissipation and higher power handling resulting in smooth, fatigue free highs. The patented I-Mount system allows unparalleled flexibility whether you flush- or surface-mount your component tweeters. A dual-level tweeter volume adjustment helps compensate for less-than-perfect speaker placement, and can even be set to suit your personal listening preference and musical taste. Low-impedance, three-ohm speakers compensate for the undersized wires found in many of today’s cars, and make the most of every watt your car stereo can deliver.

Disappointed with speaker

Can't do anything now as all 4 door speakers are fitted with 2 JBL orders. Really thought they would have a little more boom. In fact, I have to crank the bass all the way up to hear music because they sound BAD.

Deep, rich bass. Easy to install

I've bought several JBL speakers in the past and really liked the sound, so I decided to upgrade the front speakers in my 2018 VW Tiguan. I am more than satisfied with the quality of these speakers. They reproduce deeper bass than standard speakers. I highly recommend them if you are looking for new car speakers.

Now I can't do anything if all 4 door pillars are installed with 2 JBL orders. Really thought they would have a little more boom. In fact, I have to crank the bass all the way up to hear music because they sound BAD.

Best value for money

I ordered these to replace my new factory loudspeakers. You sound really clear. Twitter not used. I ran them with a factory amp which seems to be underpowered, it doesn't make much of a difference to factory amps but I'm very happy with the clarity of the sound when it's loud.

Very impressed with these speakers

I first installed these component speakers as a factory replacement. These JBL 609c for the front doors were connected to JBL 629 coaxial loudspeakers for the rear doors. I was happy with my purchase. They were better than standard, but unfortunately not by much. I recently installed an aftermarket head unit so I can amplify these JBL speakers with a matching 60W RMS JBL x4 amplifier. I made the head unit first and was so impressed with how much better they sounded after replacing the stock…
