Lost one of the F150 keys. A few years burdened with only one key. Didn't want to pay the dealer $150 for a replacement. So. Bought this 2 pack. I went to eBay and ordered the SBB Pro2 immobilizer programmer. There is no manual for it, a mysterious instrument straight from China. The interface was so intuitive that I had no trouble adding these two keys to the truck after carving them at Home Depot for about $5. Then follow the remote door lock fob instructions. It was also a very simple process. These two remote controls now work on my truck and so do these two keys. My friend has a similar generation F150 and I will use my SBB Pro2 to create two additional keys for him. If you don't have an SBB box or similar, you will need to pay a locksmith or dealer to program the immobilizer chip in these keys to work with your car. I would like to warn you that there is no guarantee that the SBB Pro2 will be compatible with your car and they do not offer a full list of supported cars so purchasing is a roll of the dice. But if you have a 9th gen F150 I assure you this way works to inflate the keys yourself.
