This device is a TOTAL game changer. I got my pup (born 9/1/20) on 10/31/20 took her outside to use the bathroom in the backyard every 1.5-2hrs for about month straight. This was just so that she knew what "bathroom” was. A week before introducing the doggy bell to her, I noticed she’d sit by the door and wait for someone to let her out, so I thought what a perfect time to introduce the bell to her. So on 12/05/20, I introduced this doggy bell to her, and she caught on with hours! The trick was I’d intentionally place a treat on the bell nose level to her, and when she’d press it to grab the treat she’d hit the bell (it’s super touch sensitive), and when the bell went off, I praise her, and then go outside with her to use the bathroom. I’d repeat this motion until she understood that sounds means to go out and pee-pee. Here we are 12/7/20, and she uses the bell like a charm WITHOUT the treat to let us know she wants to go outside/ pee-pee.My mom dog sits for me while at work, so I bought a bell for her house, and one for my boyfriend’s house. I’m super convinced, and HIGHLY recommend.For sure get them used to bathroom repetition before introducing the bell, and everything else will perfectly fall in line!
