I've decided to buy one for my Mac. In the picture the blue one is my latest purchase and the silver one I bought from 2015 and it still reads and works normally. Another bonus was that you get a two month photography plan which I was keen to take advantage of as I use the software on a daily basis. It's a bummer to me because I thought it was on a separate card/paper. Turns out it came preinstalled in the drive. In which I formatted the first thing I did when connecting. Totally my fault, but that's not a deal breaker for me. This extra storage is important.
