Just shaved for the first time and very happy with the razor. Good solid weight, feels comfortable in the hand, excellent shave. Is this a good razor for beginners? If you have a thick or coarse beard, the answer is yes. If you have a nice sparse beard, this shaver may not be affordable for you. I would like to note one feature that I did not see in the description of the razor, that is design elements. The sides are slightly open and there are cutouts in the bottom panel that really make rinsing easier. I don't know if there are other razors with these design elements. This is a great feature. I was very impressed with the thought that went into this razor. I have an addendum to this review. It gets pretty hot here in the southeast. When it gets hot, the energy saving system Switch and Save kicks in. The water heater has a switch and an economy mode. Today, as I got ready for my evening shave, I discovered the system had turned off the water heater. The water wasn't cold anymore, but it wasn't too hot for shaving either. The flagship razor still did a great job. This is an amazing razor. I recommend it more than before. This is a great shaver at a very reasonable price!
