Some recommendations are to frequently remove (or not remove) the bottom cap used to remove excess sewage and not to over-tighten. Also, always remove the top completely when performing multiple cycles and only use the OEM-supplied charger. I think the increased pressure cracked the plastic base in mine as I always tightened the bottom connector. The support team have been great and confident in their product so this could have been an accident and we hope it is. I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars because the replacement unit works well and their team was a pleasure to work with. Will update if anything changes but love this product. Initially I was excited about this device and after discovering a new device I hoped it would be a great device. However, the reality is that after a week of careful use according to the instruction manual, the device failed. The foundation could not withstand the pressure generated and collapsed, resulting in the installation not being able to operate at the same level. Also, the crack allowed moisture to seep into the device and caused the circuit board to malfunction (which is what happened, in my opinion). The device would automatically enter cleaning mode and repeat until the device battery died, beeping continuously for over an hour. The support team was good at communicating, but I had to pay the cost of shipping the unit back to Taiwan for evaluation and inspection. eventually replacement. The first unit they replaced had some sort of rust or corrosion and you could tell it was an old, used unit that they replaced my failed 2 week purchase with. I had to pay again to get it back. I received the 3rd unit and like the first unit it started to fail after a week. I bought mine direct from the OEM website and got a free deal with Qmist (this product has worked fine for months). Unfortunately I've lost almost $300 and currently have nothing to show for it. The support team has decided to close my case if I stop buying. The product itself gets one star and the support communication gets a second star. Too bad.
